This is important information for you to have.
Try to make a habit of looking at the ingredients of all sugar free items you are considering purchasing at the stores.
Just because it says “sugar free” does not mean it is good for you.
As a diabetic, I know that if I eat foods with the ever popular maltodextrin or the maltitol as one of the ingredients, my blood sugar will go up. And, sadly, these are in most “sugar free” foods that you will find in the stores.
And another note, Xylitol is toxic to dogs. Just be aware of that.
For most of my baking/cooking, I use Erythritol. I also use Allulose, which is not on this list, but it is very keto friendly and diabetic friendly. We also use Stevia in our beverages, I really like the Pyure brand.
If you are doing keto but you don’t seem to be losing weight or accomplishing other goals you have set, start looking closely at your foods that you are eating. We will discuss this more later.
